Random Adventures...

We were in my fathers place of birth... El Paso Texas we had a day off, no internet, and nothing to do ... After some amazingly cheep breakfast at a Mexican Diner, some Dance Captain paper work and Rachael Ray, Christie and I were getting really restless! On the city sheet it said that there was a Starbucks .3 miles away. We were like yeah! let's go! We could always use an afternoon pick me up! So we asked the front desk to point us in the right durection and they were like:

Front desk person - "Hahaha! you want to walk to were? that's really far away!"

Us - "Well it says on the city sheet... I'm sure Nelly is right!"

Front desk person - "Well I guess you could walk it if you really wanted to... go to messa and take a Left...

Us - "Then we'll see it?"

Front desk person - "No... it's a ways!"

We disided to do it anyways! So off we went ... we took a left on Messa went to the block that it said on the city sheet... no starbucks ... they were right. We thought well do we go back to the hotel and watch some spanish soap opera? Or should we get our excersize for the day and go on an edventure? We chose the adventure :)

With a fix of the wardrobe we were off. We walked and walked and walked and let me tell you we were seeing no mermaid! We asked a guy on the street if he knew were the Starbucks was... he said "Ummm... yeah it's about 10 - 15 blocks up..." and by up he really ment it... 10 - 15 blocks up hill!!!! Having gone too far to turn around and by this time we've worked up an appatite! So it was crusial that we get there!

By the time we go to the top of the hill we were famished ... I mean we are in the desert without anywater, dehydration was starting to set in this was seriouse! We were grabbing on to everything that could hold out weight!

I mean we both had those big bags to cary ... This was life or death! I look behind us...

Yeah so the street ends when you get to El Paso st. ...witch is the one that we turned left on ... so far right! This is what was in front of us...

Yeah nothing right! While I was taking these pics, Christie went down!

I look back and she's out for the count the walk had really gotten too her! I slapped her across the face a couple of times and gave her to most inspirational pep talk ... I mean it was really good... I couldn't think of a metaphor. Anyways, we stumble to the end of the hill and we we see it! It was magical I have never been so elated to see the white and green circle in my life!

We ran!!! You know like when a hours sees it's stable it just starts galloping, you may not have gotten it to go more than a sluggish trot, but as soon as you round that corner the stupid thing takes off! Well that was us ... a sudden burst of energy came over us! it was amazing!

We ran inside! ordered our favorites and enjoyed the amazingness of Starbucks:

Yeah you can call me a heffer if you want! I earned it! Practically walked back to New York... We were so satisfied and so sad when it was gone!

It wouldn't be right if something didn't go wrong... when we got up to leave, Christie thru away our garbage... well here, I'll show you this pic let know if you notice anything:

The garbage cover was not on the can... lol but she still with confidence dropped everything in it... she wasn't the frist to do it too! The worker that lifts that is going to not like the way her day is going... but it was just what we needed for our hike back! You know having walked around the town for so long, we got a good feel of it...

Once we finally got home we were pooped so we took a nap! hahaha I have to say it's not that cute! Very very very run down! What was it like when you were born dad ... do you remeber? ;)

Hey I forgot I took these... I woke up really early on the bus! So I took these pics from the front lounge:)

Notice there's only one car in all those pics! ... Welcome to Texas!

So that night we had our end of tour party. We wanted to do it when everyone was available and Wednesday was the only time. So Michele organized everything at the Hotel bar... we got free hors d'oeurves and 2 drinks for free, and they had a special on some very sensible Margareta's:) Mom you would have loved it!

It was so random in the dumps of the downtown area ... we had this amazing hotel! The bar was georges!

It had a Tiffanie's dome!! Yes from Tiffanie's like "Breakfast at!" here is it:

Just stunning! It's just so out of place it makes me think that El Paso used to be a booming matropilis! But anyway the party! The food was meteroker at best... but the companie was great! And because it was our last time to really do it up with everyone we got dressed! You know it's a party when the red pants come out!!!

Or... the green mullet:) It was really fun we ate, drank, sociazed and then twards the end of the night we did what every sivilezed adult does... smash a pinyata!

Yep ... we broke Dora! ... some people think that she's the reason for our show closing... I think it's the economy ... but anyway it was kind of nice to get out some pent up aggression:) hahaha I was a great closing night party!

Hey love you all! Talk to you later:)

Ooops I forgot...

So when I did the blog for LA I totally forgot the most memorable part! We went to:

YES! We did I know you are freaking out right now! We went, we really went!!! It was amazing! If you want to see the episode you can go to this sight:

http://www.cbs.com/daytime/the_price_is_right/video/video.php?cid=559221502&pid=sJD7O4HQIx1vkygLtdgrXKoXGQdQSvVo&category=recent&play=true

I think you can see me in like 2 shots:) If you don't have time to watch the whole ep. don't worry I'm going to give you the run down right here on Blogger!

So we woke up way to early ... I don't really remember what time exactly... I think it was 8:30 AM... We got ready and hopped into 3 cabs. Megan organized this whole event, she was amazing, called for the reservation, organized the cabs! Wait I'm getting ahead of myself. Meagan found out that if you had a group of 15 or more you could call in and reserve seats, your automatically guaranteed seats / a chance to win the amazing showcase showdown! Luckily we had 16 so we were set, we didn't have to get there at 2AM and wait in line!

You know I have to say going to The Price is Right has been an all time dream of mine! whenever I was forced to stay home sick from school I would lay in my mom and dad's bed and watch T.P.I.R. and fantasized about hearing my name called and winning everything! So as I'm sure you can imagine I was elated when we found out that we were going!

Actually the night before the taping I had the most amazing dream: I dreamt that we were at the studio filming... This amazingly pregnant lady got her name called, I'm telling you she was about to pop! She waddled up to the front, guessed the thing right, once she finally got up to the stage Drew said to her "Now, you can't get too excited I don't want you go havin your baby here on the stage!" Caned laughter fallows... So now it's nearing the end of the episode, I was like why haven't they called my name yet? Just pissed! Finally the very last name that they called was mine... I ran down, just dancing the most excited that I've ever been in life, making a huge fool of myself! I get the thing right... it was something stupid like a fake tree or something like that, I get up there, win a car - an outy TT convertible to be exact. So then when we spin the wheel I spinthe $1.oo on the first try and automatically was eligible for the Showcase showdown... Again ... just freaking out! So cut to showcase showdown... it was like a tour of Europe some amazing thing and then a huge chunk of money on top of that ... I ended up winning the SCSD my total winnings came to over $100,000!!!! Then after the episode we all went out to this amazing restaurant that I treated everyone too, and then for some reason I thought it would be a good idea to give everyone $1,000... Just because I could. Cut to my phone conversation with my mom... she was screaming I was screaming ... and then I woke up. I didn't want to wake up I wanted it to be my reality... And then I remembered that it actually could be...

So we arrived at CBS studio's at like 9AM and then had an hour to get food... We just had to be back by 10 to get lined up, interviewed, security checked and filed into the studio. All of that took 3 1/2 hours! It was a little excosting... A lot of nervous energy! I was a little bit of a mess that dream that I had kind of messed with my head! It was so amazing I wanted it to come true so badly:) So it's finally time for the show.

This is us in the morning... I almost got kicked off the property for taking that pic... haha We were defiantly the most rowdy group. But there were a lot of other crazies, we were just hoping that someones name got called! To our amazement they said: "KANDACE NUNN COME ON DOWN!!" It was pandemonium we couldn't handle it, the entire cast and crew of the Backyardigans was freaking out!!!

She gets up here. And they bring out a Laptop computer. She guesses it right! So she goes up, she kept saying "Is it me? is it me?" drew was like "it's you it's you!" It was so funny! And then they say "Kandace how you like a chance to win a brand new car!!!" She does the Tina Turner dance it was amazing ... the game was really complicating so she didn't win the car but this made her eligible to spin the wheel:

She was the first one to spin and landed on the $1.00!!! ... giving her an automatic $1,000 The other two people went over so Kandace was going to the Showcase Showdown ... but because she got a dollar she gets another free spin... she landed on the $1.00 again - This never happens!!! winning her an extra $25,000!!!! Oh yes so at this point she has a new Laptop and $26,000! We get to the showcase showdown and unfortunately she lost it... but it was pretty amazing! After the episode we were spent, So hungry and horse from screaming so much!

This is Kandace talking to someone after the show... she was a mess, crying screaming calling everyone she knew:) I would have had to get a wheel chair if that happened to me I think! It was quite the day!

We're in Tempe AZ right now... We had 2 days off because this was just a stop over city... The weather is amazing! Yesterday morning I layed out by the pool for a little bit. I felt really bad when I found out that it was snowing were Jonny was... hahaha Anyway don't wory it's not all play we did get some work done. Christie, LaRaisha, Creighton and I put together a really impressive audition packet for the Broadway production of Hair, the musical. Since the auditions were happening on Friday we wanted to get it out to them as soon as possible. So Christie, LaRaisha and I set out on a journey to find the post office... since we had nothing to do all day long we thought that it would be a good idea to walk. It was 2.8 miles away... We started our adventure and realized that we were all on the verge of becoming very Hangry (If you don't know what Hangry is; it's when your hungry and angry at the same time... a lethal combination!) So we stopped at this random diner... our waitress was hysterical her name was Val and even tho there was only 2 other people in the restaurant she was yelling!!!

Now that we were all in a better mood we set off again... on the way we happened to find this ... witch provided so much entertainment!

Christie was so bad at pushing! She almost killed LaRaisha so many times... We just kept taking turns pushing each other, going along our marry old way trying to get ourselves to the Broadway:) We abruptly abounded the grocery cart when we came to an intersection with a bunch of cops:

We thought that maybe they could arrest us for reckless something or other... luckily we looked up and saw a UPS store so it ended up being perfect. They got the Package today at 3:00 PM so hopefully they at least looked at it... hahaha

Today we did a whole lot of nothing! I layed out again this morning, at like 1 we went to the mall across the street, walked around for a bit, got a 15 minute massage. and then saw the movie Quarantine, I think I pied my pants it so scary! I know life is so hard today has just been really trying!

We have 6 days left and I can't wait! I can just hear my bed calling my name:) Actually the thing that I'm really excited about is Christie LaRaisha and I are planning a Cabaret! We want to do it like the first or second week of January. We're in the proses right now of contacting some of our composer friends about seeing if they can provide us with some good new material:) So far everyone we've reached out too has responded with an excited yes:) I can't wait! I feel really good about this return to the great NYC:)

I love you all! Talk to you later:)
